So naturally, Dean Ellis, the Hartman-Ellis insurance firm president, expected trouble fitting new furniture in a space where for every desk-length the floor drops three-quarters of an inch.
"Plus, we had these old, grey metal desks when I joined the agency in 1980. We really needed new furniture, but we figured the right furniture for our offices would require some difficult custom work."
